Trade Show Season is Near with Start of GIE+EXPO in October

Every trade show we attend is unique in it’s own way and we look forward to each and every one of them. The Green Industry & Equipment Exposition (GIE+EXPO) in Louisville, co-located with Hardscape North America, is quickly approaching on October 22-24. For us, this is a great chance to interact with our customers in a different environment than other trade shows.

Crain Construction Installs Entire City’s Water Main with the Power of Takeuchi Behind Them

Utility contractor Crain Construction, located in Clarinda, Iowa, specializes in water and sewer mains, sanitary and storm sewers, directional boring, concrete foundation, and flatwork. They are not afraid to get their hands dirty; in fact they relish the opportunity. Recently, they took on a high profile job and a tall task for a company of 20 employees. The project was in Cumberland, Iowa and required Crain Construction to replace and install an entire town’s water main and all of their services.


Billy McKinnon, owner and founder of McKinnon Inc., came up in the landscaping business back in 1989. His business originally started out in landscape, irrigation installation and maintenance. Work was at a premium and McKinnon Inc. was in high demand. That is until the U.S. economy tanked in 2007. Instead of panicking, McKinnon looked at other scopes of work his business could do and took a proactive approach, instead of a reactionary one.

From Floor Sweeper to President, Clay Eubanks Celebrates his 30th Anniversary at Takeuchi

On September 19th Takeuchi-US celebrated a milestone anniversary with their president, Clay Eubanks. Clay has been with Takeuchi since 1984, making that 30 years of dedication, devotion, and hard work. It all started when Clay’s mother, who was working at his high school, received a call looking for a student to work part-time in the Takeuchi warehouse. He worked his high school years in the warehouse before graduating and attending Georgia Tech University and then ultimately going fulltime with Takeuchi; where he has been ever since.
