“Takeuchi Gives” Program Continued Helping Local Communities in 2024

At Takeuchi, our corporate culture is built upon a foundation of helping and supporting others, and that starts in the communities where we live, work and play. Through the “Takeuchi Gives” program, we’ve been able to donate equipment, engines, gifts and holiday meals throughout 2024, providing students with real-life experiences and less-fortunate neighbors with food for their holiday celebrations.

Over the past few years, we’ve donated several diesel engines to various technical schools. In 2024, we provided the Spartanburg Community College’s Diesel Engine Training Program with a TL12 engine valued at $33,501. It’s truly gratifying to know that these students will gain hands-on experience with a real-life engine, helping further their careers in the years to come. Providing this kind of educational advantage also helps our local communities by increasing the amount of skilled labor available in the future.

Our corporate efforts also extend to helping individuals struggling with food insecurity. For the fourth year in a row, Takeuchi provided many meals to the Banks-Jackson Food Bank. The food bank has been serving Banks and Jackson Counties since 1982, supporting an average of 772 hungry individuals and families each month. This year, our employees donated enough food for 147 Thanksgiving meals!

In South Carolina, 2024 marks the second year we’ve supported The Carpenter’s Table, an organization formed in 2001 by loving members of local churches. Over the past two decades, the organization has grown from serving a few dozen families to hundreds of families each month. We were able to provide 63 delicious meals to The Carpenter’s Table and make Thanksgiving Day much brighter for many deserving people.

Knowing that Takeuchi has made such a difference is wonderful – and it’s even better when we hear from someone who benefitted from our donations firsthand. A kind person recently used the “Contact Us” feature on our website to send the following message:

“I was a recipient of a holiday food box from your company in Pendergrass, Ga., when I went to the Banks/Jackson Food Bank. I wanted to reach out and personally thank you for helping make this Thanksgiving less of a burden for our family after a very trying year. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”

Whether donating food to help our neighbors in times of crisis or providing engines to assist students working toward their future careers, Takeuchi steps up in times of need. Here’s to being positive, uplifting and generous corporate citizens throughout 2025 and beyond!
