2024 keeps going strong!
Now that summer is in full swing, we continue to see great demand for our products as Takeuchi experiences an increase in market share and catches up on dealer demand. Our product team has been working hard, launching our new TCR50-2 crawler dumper in June.
The TCR50-2 is a world-class machine that we’ve actually been manufacturing for several years. Thanks to increased demand in the U.S., we decided to introduce it to the North American market. It’s yet another machine in our lineup that meets and exceeds Takeuchi’s standards for performance, durability, operator comfort and serviceability.
While we’ve been adding new products, we’ve been decreasing our environmental footprint. Takeuchi recently installed new solar power generation systems at both our Pendergrass, GA and Moore, SC facilities. These solar panels will produce about 85% of the electricity we use during the year at both locations. We plan to purchase clean energy for the remaining 15% of our electric needs, helping us become carbon neutral. Add that to the introduction of our TB20E battery-powered excavator last year and it’s plain to see how we’re fulfilling our commitment to environmental stewardship.
In August, Takeuchi-US will be one stop on the AEM (Association of Equipment Manufactures) Manufacturing Express bus tour. The AEM bus will stop at our Moore, SC track loader production facility to showcase equipment manufacturing jobs and what they mean to the U.S. economy. Our participation will also give us a chance to celebrate the accomplishments we’ve made in Moore since we began producing loaders there in September 2022.
Takeuchi has started a brand ambassador program where we partner with social media influencers who faithfully use our equipment, and I am pleased to welcome Bar 7 Ranch out of Gatesville, Texas to this team. The Archies are first-generation ranchers and agriculture advocates who are now the proud owners of a TL10V2 track loader.
