New Training Facility in the Works
We recently held a ground-breaking ceremony for a new training facility set to open in spring 2020. The new center allows dealers from North America and around the globe to gain knowledge about Takeuchi products, and offer year-round service training to its growing dealer network.
We are expanding from our current training environment, which we have used since relocating to Pendergrass, Georgia in 2006. The new building will be 37,500 square feet on 9.45 acres. It will feature two dedicated service training classrooms and workshop areas, workspace for the training department, two flex-space training rooms, two flex-space meeting rooms, a cafeteria and a kitchen area that can hold 90 people, and a 7,500 square-foot covered demo area.
“This new training facility will give us the opportunity to train more dealer staff, conduct year-round training and take our training programs to the next level. We are dedicated to providing cutting-edge training to best educate our dealers, and we are very excited to open the doors and invite our dealer network to participate in this exciting new step with us,” says Jeff Stewart, vice president/general manager of Takeuchi-US.
“This signifies the growth of our company and all that we have accomplished thus far with our training efforts. Our expectations for the new training center will be to provide relevant and safe equipment training to all of our dealers,” says Clay Eubanks, president of Takeuchi-US. “By building this new training center, it allows us to invest in our community and bring more jobs and opportunities to Jackson County.”

New Dealer
We are happy to announce we have a new dealer, Dykes Equipment doing business as (dba) Appling Motors, serving South Georgia. The full-service dealer specializes in new and used equipment. They will carry our full line for their primary customer base of agriculture and small to medium contractors.
Based in Baxley, Georgia, Appling Motors has been in business for more than 50 years, originally selling vehicles before transitioning to a tractor sales and service location. Owner Gary Dykes began working there in 1995 before purchasing the company in 2005, reforming it to Dykes Equipment Co. Inc. dba Appling Motors.
“With the products and programs offered by Takeuchi, we expect to be able to expand our customer base in addition to offering dealer-owned rental fleet options in the region,” said Dykes. “Our location on a main road through Baxley with roof-covered display areas allows us to showcase Takeuchi as a premier product, while also protecting units from harsh weather conditions.”
